I met Chef Michael Symon.
The day began with a harrowing drive in a powerful winter storm. Rokerthon told us that there would be a bunch of snow. It took just under an hour to drive what usually takes 35 minutes. Almost two accidents—almost is the key work. I had a slight claustrophobic episode in the audience and then another in line to get my book autographed and photo with the chef—too many folks, too close, and many were of huge proportions.
I told Chef Symon a story about his TV show, ABCs ‘The Chew’ director lending his name to my memoir only if Mark Ruffalo plays him in the movie and I got that wonderful laugh as a reaction.
